Oxford Innovation signs up Dolphitech to take space at the EpiCentre, Haverhill Research Park

Oxford Innovation has signed up Norwegian materials testing equipment company Dolphitech to take its first office in the UK at developer Jaynic’s The EpiCentre in Haverhill.

Dolphitech is an ISO9001:2015 certified company that develops advanced ultrasound cameras for 2D and 3D test and inspection of materials in a variety of industries including, aerospace, space vehicles, wind turbines, automotive and oil and gas.

The company has developed a novel ultrasound transducer design that produces high-resolution images. It utilises an advanced technology developed by a team of experts in ultrasound, analogue and digital electronics.

Jason Smith, chief commercial Officer, of Dolphitech, said: “The new EpiCentre office will become Dolphitech’s technical hub, providing training and customer support, materials sample testing, non-destructive testing results and verification in a Covid-secure, safe operating environment.

“In a time where people are moving out of offices, we see the value and importance in continuing to offer world class customer service and aftercare service.

“The new office at the EpiCentre is a significant milestone in Dolphitech’s growth and a real investment in the future. Establishing this footprint in the UK will help us serve and support our growing customer base in the UK and in Europe, as well as establishing a global excellence centre for training and technical support.”

Gareth Scargill, commercial director at Oxford Innovation, says: “The innovation centre is the perfect home for a company like Dolphitech which can match its space requirements to the size of its business as it grows and develops. Dolphitech is the latest in a line of companies signing up or showing interest in occupying space at The EpiCentre,” he adds.

Scargill urges organisations looking for flexible office or laboratory space to visit the centre’s website and to get in touch to find out more about the centre: https://www.epicentrehaverhill.co.uk/

Strategically located near Cambridge and part of the South Cambridge Business and Technology Cluster, The EpiCentre is ideal for growing businesses. On-site and nearby amenities include restaurants, a nursery, landscaped lake and jetty, retail stores, petrol station, ATM and car wash.

The EpiCentre has over 60 office suites available from 17sqm (172 sqft) up to 78sqm (840sqft) including three flexible shared purpose-built laboratory spaces with access to specialist equipment. These suites are available for pre-let immediately, and are supplemented by communal breakout spaces, a café and meeting and conference rooms.

The offices are rented out on an inclusive basis to include reception, concierge, rent, rates and utilities, and the building has fibre broadband with a minimum capacity of One Gigabyte.

Oxford Innovation is the UK’s leading operator of innovation centres with 26 managed facilities around the British Isles.

Scargill comments: “We are offering much more than a serviced office or laboratory with flexible space. An integral part of our offer is innovation services to entrepreneurs, including business planning advice, coaching and mentoring.”

Oxford Innovation also manages investment networks that link investors with entrepreneurs seeking funding from £20,000 to £2m.
