Construction of Montessori Nursery School completed at Haverhill Research Park
Construction of the Colourbox Montessori Nursery at Haverhill Research Park has completed and it opened its doors for children on Monday 7th September, 2015.
Colourbox provides full-time and part-time care and education for children from ages three months to five years and the recent OFSTED visit was successful. The nursery has an outdoor play area and drop-off zone with parking for 16 cars.
Jaynic, the developer of Haverhill Research Park, awarded a construction contract to local builder KT Construction, and on-site work started in March 2015.
Susie Norman, the owner of Colourbox, said: “The nursery is absolutely beautiful and because Nic Rumsey and his team at Jaynic involved us in the design of the nursery right from the start, the layout is just how we wanted it to be. It has been an absolute pleasure to see the reactions of the children on their settling in visits.”
Jaynic director Nic Rumsey said, “We are pleased that local contractor KT Construction has completed the project on schedule and delighted that it meets Colourbox’s vision for the school.”
“This is another vital step towards providing Haverhill with a mixed use employment zone that is already providing homes, a restaurant and now nursery care. It is another major foundation stone towards making Haverhill Research Park a very sustainable working location. Parents will be able to drop their children off before coming to work at the Park and pick them up on the way home,” he added.
The single-storey building, designed by Frank Shaw Architects, has been built on the west side of the main estate road, Three Counties Way, close to the entrance to the park.
